OUR FESTIVALS

NRITYA DHRUPADI MUSIC AND DANCE RESEARCH CENTRE is a cultural Institution based in Kolkata, which
specializes in Kathak and Bharatnatyam dance form.
This institution was established in 2003 by Dr. Sucharita Datta Ghata, who is a Kathak exponent of India, a ‘TOP’-Grade Kathak artiste of Doordarshan, and is presently the director of our Institution. We are affiliated under Pracheen Kala Kendra, Chandigarh.Our institution is a sanctuary for the timeless art of Indian classical dance. Rooted in tradition and guided by passion, our institute is dedicated to preserving and promoting the rich legacy of India’s age-old dance forms. Since the past three years, our
Institution has been taking a cultural initiative by inviting eminent classical dancers of India to perform at our “DHRUPADI FESTIVAL” and Annual Dance Concert “PARAMPARA” to showcase the ecstacy of Indian Classical Dance.
Additionally, students of our institution also participate to make this event a compiled Grandeur of Indian Classical Dance Forms, namely; Kathak and Bharatnatyam. Earlier, eminent dancers like Vidushi Saswati Sen, Vidushi Luna Poddar, Pt. Ashimbandhu Bhattacharya, Vidushi Madhumita Roy, Pt. Rama Prasad Chattopadhyay have been a part of this festival.
